Meet the Speakers: Classical Conversations
Glasgow & Dundee Classical Conversations. Community Leader Yvonne McArthur will be speaking at the Unite for Education Conference on January 20th at The Tron Church, Glasgow.
Yvonne set up the Glasgow Community in 2020 and began working through the curriculum at home with her son, before the Lord started leading other families to join them. As restrictions eased in 2021, the Glasgow Community moved to its current location, where it has grown and flourished ever since serving families from across Scotland.
The 2023/24 academic year saw the creation of two new scottish communities, the West Lothian Community in Livingston, and Glasgow’s sister community in Dundee. Next academic year there will be at least five CC Communities in Scotland, two of which will be catering to High School aged students.
*Founded by Leigh Bortins in 1997, Classical Conversations is a leading classical Christian curriculum tailored to home education, serving more than 50,000 families in 52 countries. The curriculum supports a home-centred educational community that equips parents to provide their children with timeless tools of learning so they can discover nature’s order and beauty while enabling others to do the same.
